NAZO Collective LLC · hello@nazocollective.com

What is this app?

Aurea is a concept redesign of an employer health-benefits app, with an AI benefits navigator called Sage built into it. I designed and built it as a portfolio case study, solo. It is not a real health plan and not a commercial product. The full story of how and why it was built is in the Aurea and Sage case study.

Why does it show my plan and claims without me signing up?

There are no real accounts. The app signs you in automatically as a fictional demo member so you can see a fully populated app immediately instead of staring at an empty state. Everything you see belongs to that invented person.

Is any of the data real?

The people are not. Every member, claim, prescription, provider, and conversation is fictional and written for this project, and no real protected health information appears anywhere.

The coverage terms are a different matter, and deliberately so. The copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket limits are extracted from real published health plan documents, then presented under an invented carrier name. That is what makes the demo worth looking at: the plans behave the way real plans behave, a high-deductible plan differs from a copay plan the way it actually would, and Sage’s answers hold together because it is reading real coverage rules rather than numbers I made up to fill a screen.

How do I try a different member or plan?

Go to My Plan, then tap Switch profile on the member ID card. There are twelve demo members across different plan types. Copay plans and high-deductible plans behave differently, and Sage's answers change with them, which is worth seeing.

Is Sage a real AI, or scripted responses?

Real. Sage runs on Anthropic’s Claude API and answers from the selected member’s own plan document, so the same question asked on two different plans gets two different answers. It is not a canned script.

Can I use it for actual insurance decisions?

No, and please don’t. Nothing in the app is real coverage guidance. Talk to your actual insurer or benefits administrator for anything that affects your real care or money.

Something is broken, or I have a question

Email hello@nazocollective.com and tell me what you were doing when it happened. I read every message. If you are reviewing my work, I’m glad to walk through any decision in the app in more detail.
